The main motivation behind this blog is that I really enjoyed reading about people fiddling with interesting hardware. I’ve got some interesting (or so I think) hardware available that I sometimes feel like poking at, so I decided to start this blog for like-minded people to find and read. Plus it ain’t a bad thing to improve my writing skills. At some point in time I’ll probably blog about non-hardware related topics, depends on what I find interesting.

Other interests include embedded programming, graphics programming, electronics, Linux and mechanics, in no particular order. I haven’t got any formal training in electronics so if I’m off on something then feel free to contact me and let me know!

As my day job I work in R&D, developing anything from drivers for embedded systems to web services and databases. It’s pretty fun, though debugging weird problems with embedded devices can get crazy.

I haven’t gotten a particular writing schedule, so the amount of new posts depends on how much free time I have and if I’m in a writing mood during that free time. After all, this site is just a for-fun hobby and if I have to force myself to do hobbies then they ain’t going to be fun hobbies for long :)).

The page and content

This site is hosted on an el-cheapo VPS and generated with Hugo. The theme is based on the smol theme, though I did modify it a fair bit.

The VPS has got a rather low traffic quota, so if you want to show some images from here on your own sites then please save the image on your own server and link back to this site.

While the page is online then I (probably) haven’t forgotten about this site, as I have to pay it off a few times per year. If you want to keep track of new posts then feel free to use the RSS feed on this site ;).
